We are delighted to announce that two exceptional professionals, Stephanie Cole and Matthew Harberd have joined the Optima team, bringing with them a wealth of experience and a passion for engineering excellence.
Stephanie joins us as a Systems Engineering Consultant, with a rich background in the defence and aerospace industries. Her experience includes serving as a reservist with the Royal Navy and working as a Junior Systems Engineer at AtkinsRéalis. Stephanie’s technical expertise and dedication will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and excel in our projects.
Outside of work, Stephanie is an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular passion for rugby and adventure racing.
Matthew steps into the role of Senior Systems Engineering Consultant, having garnered extensive experience at DE&S across various Defence domains. His impressive career includes managing the development, delivery, and support of Electronic Counter Measures equipment for Explosive Ordnance Disposal forces. He has also led requirements development and integration for complex weapons for the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy, and most recently, managed transition planning to maintain RAF Air Defence capability.
In his work, Matthew enjoys Architecting and Requirements Management, to develop an in-depth understanding of what is needed and how it can be achieved. In his personal time, he enjoys dance, fitness, and hiking, constantly seeking new challenges to expand his horizons.
